Ultimate Guide to Getting AIM

This is a guide on how to get AIM, because it's VERY annoying to always have my friends *cough*dan*cough* trying to talk to me online using a difficult system, and then saying they don't use IM even when they don't try. I wrote this so you people can TRY. If this method doesn't work, then I'll probably stop yelling at you for not having it. Click on the pictures to enlarge.

INTRODUCTION- WHAT'S AIM?

Lot's of people use AIM. But what is it? For those of you who don't know, AIM is an instant messaging program where you can easily chat with tons of friends.

STEP 1- MAKING A SCREEN NAME:

Obviously to begin you'll need to make a screen name (Often referred to as an sn). To do this, you'll need to start by going on to http://www.aim.com. The homepage should look something like this:


Next you'll need to create a screen name! Click the "Get a Screen Name" link to get one!


Go through the steps to register an account. Once you've finished doing that, you can get started!!!

METHOD ONE- DOWNLOAD!

To download AIM, click the install button, and go through the download procedure.


Next go through the procedures to install it on your computer and sign in!

METHOD TWO- GO ONLINE!

If you can't download AIM, try this method.

First, go onto the website.
Next, sign in.
Third, go to MAIL.
Then, click the arrow on your mail dashboard:


Click AIM and you can sign in to start IMing!

If these methods don't work, tough beans.
